Our Organization is Involved In several projects, but it All Start With...
Daughters of Sierra Leone is a non-profit and non-governmental organization registered both in the USA and Sierra Leone, dedicated to empowering women and young girls, upskilling them with lucrative vocational skills that will enable them to earn a living and be self-sufficient. After learning about the challenges women experience in Africa, it is critical to close the gap so that everyone can live the life of their dreams.
Through our consistent vocational training projects and entrepreneurship training which we have on-site and online, we have been able to train over 5000 young women and contribute to the economic growth of Sierra Leone. Several relief materials were distributed during the outbreak of Ebola. During the Covid-19 pandemic relief materials such as hand sanitizers, and Veronica Bucket used to wash hands and other relief materials.
In 2021, over 2,000 young Sierra Leone were impacted with skills via “Monetize Your Knowledge, Skills and Expertise through online courses”, opening a new world of earning online for the young participants.
Also distributed were foodstuffs to about 1,000 families through “Operation feed 1,000 families during Christmas of 2021”.
We are open to collaboration and sponsorship to achieve several ongoing developmental projects as we are committed to helping women live the lives of their dreams.
